We were recently chatting about the Stash Hub feature that allows you to duplicate projects:
Duplicate Projects… Thank you!
This feature makes it so easy to plan multiple projects with the same pattern. This got me wondering - what is your favourite pattern to repeat and how many versions have you made?
I’ve got a few favourites, but I checked in Stash Hub and my most repeated pattern is the Gilbert Top by Helen’s Closet. I’ve made 7 versions, including a few dress hacks. The instructions are brilliant and I love how the construction gives such a neat finish on the inside.
This is a silk version that was on my Make Nine.
I’ve also made a few Gilbert shirts ut my most made pattern is the Safiya trousers from the make it simple book. It’s what I made recently for mum’s orange trousers and my green ones both out of linen. I think I have made 5.
I’ve got two favorite patterns, the Society Dress and Harlow Pajamas Pants, both from Gertie/Charm Patterns. Four dresses finished and four pants, with at least three more of each in the immediate to-do pile. I literally live in those pants all year round while being at home. I’ve got one winter version made from sturdy flannel (a soft fleece version to be sewn before winter hits again), a nice medium cotton, a very lightweight cotton for summer and a satin for when I want to bring out the glamour in an everyday chill-at-home day. ![]()
So yeah, I love the duplicate project feature! ![]()
At the moment I’ve been making a few of the courtney top by stylearc in viscose linen and also a couple by the coram by Allie Olsen.
@BlossomSandwich my most repeated patterns are…
- Deer & Doe
Plantain T-Shirt = 26x - Grainline Studio Linden Sweatshirt = 16 x
- BurdaStyle 6409 Sweat Shorts (also hacked into Sweatpants) = 14x (10-Shorts, 4-Sweatpants)
- True Bias Lander Pants = 6x
When I really
like a pattern that I’ve spent time perfecting the fit on I have a tendency to make it on repeat multiple times ![]()

There’s something very freeing about making a garment that a) you know will suit your tastes, b) fits you nicely & c) you already know the construction steps for (I often don’t need to read the instructions - just a quick glance of the SA to make sure that I use the right allowances
.).
Wow 26 versions is very impressive!!
I made over a dozen panties with the Lingerie Academie Aphrodite pattern and a lot of Danglez DB4 bras, I haven’t bought lingerie in stores for over 13 years now ![]()
@Jos very impressive
.
I’m currently WiP on a toile of some super basic looking knickers (OOP KwikSew 3881). But, “if” they work out as a good fit then I’ll be able to bash out a new pair from the leftover scrap jersey fabric every time I make myself a
t-shirt

Beautiful work!
I haven’t ventured in to lingerie making yet. A bra is on my Make Nine but we’ll see if I get round to it ![]()
I have made 6 drews from t&tb! I made 5 Ellery dresses swim style patterns. I would say 5 or 6 spring in London tops from seasons of east!
I am definitely a pattern repeater. If I like a pattern, then I think it makes it better value for money to make it multiple times. ![]()
I knew the pattern emporium Besties Tee & ellie & mac tee dress were faves but hadn’t realise how many i’d made. 16 besties tees 5 more planned & 15 tee dresses with 1 in progress. I may be a bit obsessed!
Incredible! Always nice to have a favourite that you know works well for you!
I have that pattern. I figured out a few tweaks to make them fit the way I like, and stocked my underwear drawer with me-mades. It’s fun to have a good basic pattern and then try out different fabrics.
@RedsaxSews Glad you got your K3881 to fit how you like
.
A draw full of colourful me-made knickers is definitely my plan ![]()
