My latest fabric purchase was a big win thanks to the Stash Hub Wishlist, so I thought it would be great to start a thread about this underrated feature!

My Wishlist Win:
Resisted an impulse purchase, came up with a great project idea, ended up getting the fabric on sale! 
I’m planning to make the By Hand London Anna Dress with this stunning viscose I just bought in the Bornella Fabrics sale 
I keep a lot of patterns on my Wishlist, because I’ve figured out I don’t need to by digital patterns before I actually have a project in mind!
I love the way wishlist makes it easy to store patterns I might one day want without having to buy them in advance
Here’s my current wishlist - a bit of everything on there 
Yess! I have so many patterns on my wishlist. I used to buy loads of patterns when they had their launch sales but it resulted in me amassing a huge collection of things I’ve never made. I’ve found it’s actually saved me money to save them to my wishlist and buy them full price when I’m ready to sew them.
Clever idea! I have so many patterns because I might want to make something. 
I love wishlist. I use it a lot for fabric and patterns.
I haven’t tried Wishlist yet, but I mostly want to not buy certain things…like any more fabric, even to the point of not accepting any more donations! But it seems like a really good tool for keeping track of things I would like to mention to my family as potential presents…
I’ve noticed that my (non-sewing/mildly-sewing) family likes to know what the things are useful for. e.g. "buy me sf101 which is what i use to make you all birthday crowns!!) (i use the free wild and waves crown pattern, peppermint mag has one too) or “please give me washers and nuts, i’ll use them as pattern weights” etc.
I’ve started adding new patterns to my wishlist rather than buying them when they are first introduced and on sale. Stash Hub has shown me that I have a lot of similar patterns that I’ve never made. I’m saving some money while I decide if I’m actually going to need that new release.
I’ll also save a pattern that is more of a trend and see if I can find something out in the wild to try on and see if it’s going to be right for me before purchasing and spending time on a toile.
I really learned how to use my wish list during the Sew Sorted last week.
I have a Burda Style Club membership, which means I can download two free patterns each month. Before, I really got lost which pattern I already have (because due to the connected monthly Burda sewing journal I have so many Burda paper patterns in Stash Hub) and sometimes downloaded the same pattern several times. At the same time, the integrated wishlist at the Burda website is really crappy.
In my wishlist, I now have my “backlog” of Burda patterns that I might download for my free monthly without loosing track what I already have (after the download, I can simply move the record from wishlist to bought).
I don’t think I will use the wish list for fabrics- most of my buying is on a six monthly fabric market in my town (fabrics I like for the best price) or some rare ones I need immediately for a project. So I’m not as fixated in having a certain brand fabric than in having a fabric of a certain type with a pattern I like.
And to be honest - my fabic stash is so big that I could open a fabric store 
it is spilling from the floor of my sewing room into my living room 
But as I read somewhere: sewing and hoarding fabric are two different hobbies 
I’ve started using the Wishlist when I come across fabrics I love. I’m finding that it really cuts down on those 2am “I can’t sleep and so I’m fabric shopping and OMG I love this I have to have it!” purchases that arrive and then I’m like, “when did I order this?”
I think my next purchase will be from Style Maker Fabrics, because there’s 4-6 fabrics I keep thinking about and coming back to look at. I’m trying to hold off and see if they do a Maker’s Black Friday sale or some kind of discount in the next month or so… but I’m afraid to let it go much longer than that for fear they’ll sell out, and most of these are fabrics they won’t restock when they’re gone.
Sewing FOMO is a real thing for me!

This is so true, and why do I keep forgetting this?!?
What a gorgeous wishlist! Fingers crossed for a good discount. Sometimes I deliberately wait to see if a fabric goes out of stock because then if it’s still available I can convince myself that it’s a sign from the universe that I’m meant to have it
