I love how committed you are to improving the app!
I’m very curious about the fabric pattern matching, sometimes I need a little push to get an idea on something! My hubby always suggests a dress which isn’t the most helpful… Would this be a case of it picking random fabrics and patterns and it putting them together (with parameters in place) or could you ask it to look at a certain fabric and pick a pattern you could use for it?
The general idea is that you could select a pattern and there would be a button to show you all fabrics that would work with the pattern (using the suggested fabrics field from the pattern and other parameters). This would also work the other way around (i.e. select suitable patterns for a particular fabric).
If you have any other ideas on how you’d like something like this to work we’d love to hear it.
I am SO excited about those saved filters! I expect it will be a significant time-saver.
REQUEST for @TheWizard : Could you allow us to choose in the Pattern view whether we see the first Photo in the thumbnail or the Line Art/Flat instead? I often prefer to browse through my pattern library by just looking at the line art; it’s how I had my AirTable set up, and it’s really the only thing that I miss. Thanks for considering it!
I’ve added your request to the backlog. I can’t say it’s a high priority but at least it won’t be forgotten ![]()
@angiekey a work around would be to make the Line Art (/technical drawing) image the first image under the Photos for the pattern record
…
E.g. ![]()
![]()
Thanks for the acknowledgement! As a former IT developer turned B2B Product Manager, I totally get managing the change log and prioritizing work.
I think I may take the suggestion that was made to simply make the line art the first photo in the Photo field. It’ll be a bit of work to go back through and delete and re-upload everything, but we’ll see…
Awesome suggestion, Claire - thank you! I think I’m going to use this work-around.
@angiekey Hi you don’t have to delete and re upload; all you have to do is edit and change the type for each image.
This might mean adding to the fabric required field so that the program can tell the difference between main fabric, lining, ribbing, pocketing etc.
