What happened to the ‘shop’ section

I was looking through your fantastic app this morning and saw that you used to have a ‘shop’ section and I was wondering why you dispensed with it.

There was an email about it, im sure @BlossomSandwich will elaborate, but i think it was underused

To quote @Donnas_sewing_room

Yup, there was an email dated 20th June 2026 :smiling_face: :right_arrow_curving_down:

As part of our plan to streamline the Stash Hub app and refocus on our mission to help you fall in love with your stash, we’ve decided to remove the Shops section from Stash Hub.

This means that from Wednesday 24th June, Stash Hub Plus subscribers will no longer have access to the exclusive discounts. This decision doesn’t take away from how much we admire and appreciate all the incredible small businesses we’ve worked with. We’re really grateful to the shops who have supported Stash Hub and offered discounts to our Plus members.

That was before I joined. Thanks for replying to my query.

@Frankie445 no worries :smiling_face:

We removed a couple of big sections from Stash Hub this year, Shops (discounts) and Marketplace (selling fabrics via eBay). There were a few reasons behind this decision:

  • Make the Stash Hub experience more consistent for all our customers internationally. We only had discounts for UK shops and Marketplace only worked for a handful of countries.
  • These features were not as well used as we had anticipated - so it made more sense to remove them than spend more time developing them further.
  • To reduce our workload as a two-person team, allowing us to focus our energy on parts of the app and activities that support our main goal: to help sewists fall in love with their stashes.

Welcome to Stash Hub @Frankie445, hope you have fun cataloguing your stash! Let us know if you have any questions or need a hand getting started :smiling_face:
