As I’m trying to sew through my stash, I haven’t used the shopping list much. Now I want to, it’s got a huge list of items on it from my projects. I know I can click on the item to see which project it’s linked to, but there are ones that don’t have a project mentioned. Are these leftover from completed projects?

I use the shopping list although I haven’t put all my notion requirements on each pattern.
You can view by project or by project queue by clicking on the down arrow
I use the shopping list by Project Queue most of the time.
Having said that, I also have a list of items with no project. Looking at the list, it may be items that have come from a pattern selection that I deleted from the project. I often put multiple patterns into a project as I’m working through my options or trying to figure out how to fit a pattern to the fabri then delete the patterns I don’t use.

Ooh, I never noticed that tab. Thanks! I’m still confused about the random project-free items, but that tab is really helpful.
@Craftyguider , @TheWizard I’ve been doing some testing on this this evening.
First of all I deleted all the Shopping List items assigned to ‘No Project’
Then started the test as follows:
- Create New Project - two patterns (to test one theory along the way)
- Shopping list items created for both patterns
- Add to Queue (to test another theory along the way)
- Delete 1 Pattern - 32MM Elastic from deleted pattern stays on the project
- Added another pattern
- Shopping list items OK - all assigned to a project
- Deleted the project
- Shopping list items are still on the list but now assigned to ‘No Project’.
Cleared ‘No Project’ shopping list items
- Delete a project not assigned to the queue
- Shopping list items are still on the list but now assigned to ‘No Project’
It didn’t matter whether the project was added to the queue or not, the shopping list items were not deleted but were assigned to ‘No Project’
Trying to find the ‘No Project’ record was fun - the All Projects list sorts in Date Added order. I did see in the Roadmap a suggestion to put the ‘No Project’ items at the end.
Could the list be in alphabetical order, with ‘No Project’ at the end?
Well that’s kept me out of mischief for the evening but I will keep an eye on ‘No Project’ items.
