Does anyone else have this problem? Whenever I try to sew an automatic buttonhole close to a thick seam or something like a waistband it just does not work and I usually have to sew it manually.
Well I have found this video on YouTube how to sew an automatic buttonhole without the buttonhole foot on. It is genius. I tried it on the top I am making now and it works. You can also use it when your buttons are too big.
You manipulative the machine using the pull down lever, basically doing what the buttonhole foot does.
