I saw this mentioned in a recent email–but couldn’t see where it was explained. What is it? Thanks so much!
Sew A Garment A Month (SAGAM) is a monthly challenge that is hosted on Instagram with a different theme each month. It’s hosted by @suestoney and @sewing_in_spain and usually a different guest host each month. There’s a different theme each month - some are more abstract than others.
Here’s a link to the challenge on Instagram
Basically, you just have to interpret the theme ‘obscure’ into a garment making project during October. These are their ideas:
• Have you made a garment from a pattern company who is not well known?
• Show us an obscure technique.
• Use a fabric or print that obscures something - a pocket, an error, etc
• Obscure can mean intricate, dark or hidden. Show us a garment with obscure features
But the challenge is open to your own interpretation too.
All the details are in the Challenges section of Stash Hub.
