Presser Feet and Needle Storage

Because of the different projects I work with, I have a large number of different types and sizes of needles that I keep on hand. I found that using a 32 slot plastic parts box allows me to keep everything sorted and readily available. I also use these boxes for storing my different presser feet for each machine.

@Mark I do the same thing #Twinsies :joy:!

I like to use the clear plastic storage boxes so I can see everything at a glance :eye::eye:. And, I find that the *multi-compartment ones ideal for the task. My preferred type have removable dividers - which are great for adapting the sizes of each section to my needs :+1:. (*Sometimes called “Fisherman’s Tackle Boxes”.)

I have 2 boxes for Presser Feet :right_arrow::right_arrow::right_arrow:
:one: High-Shank Feet.
:two: Low-Shank Feet.
The feet are labelled by type - so I don’t forget what they are :joy::rofl:!

Old video :video_camera: clip on my Instagram of the Presser Feet box here :backhand_index_pointing_right:t3: https://www.instagram.com/p/Bu-wBpTnCD7

Plus, I have a :three:rd box to organise all my needles - making it super easy to see when I am running low and might need to re-stock :flexed_biceps:t3:.

That’s great. I use the 32 adjustable bay boxes. I have 2 for each machine. 1 for presser feet and another for parts.

This is genius! The slots are the perfect size for the machine needle packs. Would you mind sharing a link of where you get the boxes from?

@Mark I don’t know where you found your own compartment organiser boxes from , but mine :right_arrow_curving_down:

… were some own-brand boxes that I originally bought in-store in my local Wilko shop before they closed it down a few years ago .

@BlossomSandwich I don’t know if these boxes linked below will or won’t fit Sewing Machine Needles, but the Wilko website shows a brand called “i doodle” that might be promising!

The organizer for the needles came from a local hardware store. The 24-compartment organizer for the presser feet came from Amazon.

is there anything as satisfying as a well-stocked organized box of sewing machine needles??? i mean…liberation in our time and a reversal of climate devastation but besides that, nothing as satisfying!!!
