New Shirt for The Wizard

If you saw Doug on our Instagram stories whilst I was on holiday, you’ll know that he was excited for his new dragon shirt! I finished sewing it up and he loves it - especially how soft it is since it’s made of viscose. Doug also said “it’s nice to have a wife that makes things for me” but since he built the original version of Stash Hub for me, I think I’ve still got a bit of catching up to do until we’re even!

The pattern is the Helen’s Closet - Cameron Button Up. It’s drafted for 5’6" height so I added 3 inches to the body and an inch to the sleeves. I did french seams and flat fell seams to join on the shoulders (that was a real struggle with the viscose!). I think I need more practice with that technique.

I’m very satisfied with the perfectly matching Pigeon Wishes buttons. You get quite a lot in a pack and they’re all different, so I picked out the ones with the least blue in, to stick with the black, red and green colour scheme of the fabric.
