March Sewing Challenges Round-Up

These are the sewing challenges I’ve found for this month:

  • #SewYellowForEndo25 raises awareness of endometriosis, which affects 1 in 10 women/AFAB in the UK. Sew something yellow and donate to support this campaign.
  • #MagamMellowMarch pairs perfectly with #SewYellowForEndo25, as you could sew something in ‘mellow yellow’ fabric. Alternatively, indulge in a calming sewing process to help you mellow out this month.
  • #SewOrganic25 is an opportunity to explore sustainable fabric options and sew something organic.
  • #MendMarch2025 has daily prompts to help motivate you through your mending pile and make new friends along the way.
  • #SewFrugal25 shows us that sewing doesn’t have to be expensive! Pair stash fabrics with free sewing patterns to create a new garment without spending anything this month!

They’ve all been added to Stash Hub now, so you can save them and link them to your projects. Let me know if you’ve spotted any more!

Which ones are you planning on joining in with?

I’m definitely going to be joining Sew Yellow For Endo - I’ve made a start on my project already and I’m really excited for it! It’s a very bright yellow so not sure it’s mellow enough for ‘Mellow March’ haha

This is really helpful. Thanks for making the effort to compile and publish the list!

I’ve got some organic sweatshirting already planned to use this month which is handy. I’ll definitely support sewyellowforendo but I don’t know whether I’ve got anything to sew up for it this time.

You can use something partially yellow for SYFE - florals and multicolour prints are often handy for this!

If I get a chance I’ve got a free pattern plus some grey fabric with a hint of yellow to use for SYFE and Sew Frugal but I’ve got to get through a toile plus 5m of satin backed crepe for an evening gown first.
