Magic Mockup in the app - How would you like to see it integrated?

We’re looking at adding Magic Mockup into the app and would love to get your thoughts on how you’d like to see that work.

What would be helpful is if you could comment on what your ideal flow would look like, but any sort of thoughts or ideas are welcome.

Thanks in advance

Having it in the projects would be great. Picking a line drawing from the images and with a slider for the print like on the website

Yes, this is how I would use it as well

I’d like it in the projects too, or perhaps it’s own area, where we could save the ideas as inspiration? I’ve several coat patterns and would like this to see which to use with fabric I have, but then save it so I can mull over it for a few days

Yes I would like this too.

This :right_arrow_curving_up::backhand_index_pointing_up:t3: please :smiling_face::+1:t3:

I’m not sure whether it should be incorporated into Projects or have a section of its own.
I often pick a piece of fabric then have a few pattern options in the project until I work out which pattern (or elements of a pattern) I’ll work with. It would be great to have the line drawing of each pattern mocked up with the same fabric.
Very occasionally, I’ll go the other way - one pattern and multiple fabric options. Again it would be great to see all the fabric options on the one pattern.
If it’s in a section of its own, it would be good to have the mock-up create the project from the fabric and pattern.
Fabric pictures would need one picture to have an indicator that this is the photo to use for Magic Mock-up as often there are flat pics (as required) and draped pics of fabric.

I wouldn’t really mind wether it is in the projects section or somewhere else, but it would be really helpful if we could use the line drawings/fabric directly from the app, without having to take extra pictures/save extra line drawings. That would make this great feature much more hassle-free.
Thanks for the great work and for always coming up with new ideas!

My phone is running out of memory with so many downloads so anything within the app would be good. A few options i can think of:-

As a separate button like projects but once you’ve got your mock up you can create a project from it and it automatically picks up the pattern and fabric.

Or if creating a project could it automatcally merge the fabric chosen with the line drawing once pattern is chosen? wizardry magic

Another option could be within the pattern section, a mockup button next to the line drawing which opens up your fabric stash for you to flick through :man_mage:

Is there anything i can use if the line drawing doesnt work? Just tried the new sew over it lori

Thanks for your suggestions!

This looks like a low quality line drawing. Try downloading the line drawing directly from the Sew Over It website here: Lori Dress - Smart Wrap Dress Sewing Pattern - Sew Over It

I think it would work out well as of its own. That way we could work out what we wanted to make and add it to a project or to inspiration via a drop down menu within the mock up. Kinda like the way we can add fabric to preorder or wishlist.

I have not had much time to play with it yet. However, I like the idea of copying the picture into a ‘vision’ section on the Project and having that as the main image on the projects summary page.

Thanks Yvette, I’d used the front of the pattern instruction booklet. Working now

Fantastic feature Doug znd Yvette. Totally brilliant. I would love it in the app so i could use the line drawings and fabrics ive already uploaded as they are what im thinking about and planning. I use Just sn Idea a lot for planning becsuse of the inspiration photos. It would be fab to use magic mockup to create inspiration photos.

I think it would be great on its own tab with the ability to then add the picture onto a project.
Just being able to have what I’ve uploaded be saved would be a massive step forward.
Although I’ve been adding my line drawings to the patterns (as I’d had to make some by going over he edges with my Apple Pencil to make them stand out enough) so I can reuse them it wold be good if it could pick them from the patterns if it was in the app.
Regardless it’s my new obsession!
