Jacket restyle so easy

This boxy plain black jacket was barely worn so I thought I’d give it a new look.
I’d seen something on social media and gave it a go.
The crochet blanket was a charity buy and the cuffs upcycled from a sweatshirt.
Im very pleased with it. It’ll get a lot more wear now.
But should I put ribbing on the hem to turn it into a bomber jacket?:thinking:

Love it!! Keep seeing the fancy instagram people do this so it’s nice to see us regular sewists can do it too with stellar results!

This is awesome! Adding a ribbing band to the hem to create a bomber would tie it in well with the sleeve cuffs. Great work :heart_eyes:

I am seriously thinking about it but will have to source for more black ribbing.

Thanks. I have another one in cream. I think I’ll use the black sleeves and make them stripped alternating with the cream. Then embroider the back with a zebra. :zebra: :thinking:
