How do I go about setting up a challenge for stash hub?

I want to do something simple with the hashtag #colorgiveslife26 where people post outfits with color and I do a roundup post at the end of each month. So we can quietly protest and bring joy to the world.

I think you can just post on social media. There may be a way in the app to add a challenge?

Hi, @EmSewCrazy sounds like a great idea for a challenge. Here are my top tips for hosting a sewing challenge:

  • Create a graphic for the challenge (rather than sharing a photo with the info in the caption) as this makes it more identifiable as a challenge. I like Canva online design software.
  • Information to include when announcing a challenge: Name of challenge, hashtag, why you are running the challenge, how to join in.
  • Insta are dialling back hashtags, so you won’t be able to see all the makes via the hashtag alone - make sure you ask participants to tag you in the photo (not just mention you in the caption, as these notifications are easily missed).
  • When you share the challenge, please send it to me - either here or @stash_hub on Insta. @sewover50 is also great at promoting challenges so make sure to send it to them too.

My final thought: Go for it! Hosting a sewing challenge can be a great way to meet new people in the sewing community and get inspiration.
