Is there anything we can do to make it better to use? Are there any categories you’d like added? Any extra profile fields to make it more customisable?

An expanded FAQs might be handy for the less techie users …
E.g.:
- How to add an image
to a forum post - How to quote text from a different users post into your own comment
- How to insert a URL link
into a post - How to use bulleted / numbered lists etc.

Agree that would be great, I’ve never used a forum before & i suspect they’ll be quite a few of us who haven’t. Some handy guides would be useful

I like it. I haven’t had any problems uploading photos. I’d quite like a weekly, or as it becomes busier, even daily email, highlighting the new threads.

I like the forum - focussed, don’t miss a post and the latest is so much better than FB. I’m only on FB for sewing related stuff. The more I can get away from FB the better as far as I’m concerned.
This is probably way outside capability but I’d love an app for the forum.

Good ideas! I think we’ll made a tutorial on some of the more basic features and then one on some of the advanced features.

You can customise the frequency at which you receive summary emails by going to Account > Preferences > Emails
(Default is once a week)

As the forum is just a website, you can add it to your phone’s homepage or bookmark it. Alternatively there is a “Discourse” app (called Discourse Hub).

It might be nice to have a category for good fabric shops in various cities.
I see post after post on other Facebook groups so wonder if there is a way to use this forum to help people list the city and then add their own best shops?
