i feel sure others have figured out how to do this so i will not reinvent the wheel but ask instead!
so for my current wall quilt project… i took nearly a yard of fabric, turned MOST of it into bias tape (But not all), and then used like a quarter of the bias tape to bind the quilt. so i want to show that i have like 0.2 yards of the fabric left in the form of fabric…and then 6 yards of bias tape plus the 1 or 2 yards of bias tape that is now used up in the quilt (though the quilt is not yet complete).
what would you do? let me copy off your notes!
If the full cut is now bias strip, I’d mark the fabric as used and add a Notion of the bias binding you have left.
I store any bias strip remnants with my bias bindings
Yep, I’d suggest the same as @JD3205 - You can add the bias binding notion to your project so the original fabric and bias are linked together through the project record.
hmmm now i’m confused – do you mean mark the yardage as used (or as much used as i’ve used to make alllll the bias binding), then add the full length of bias that i made in notions, then add the notion to the project and then the notion should end up being the amount of bias binding that’s left over after the project? (i think that makes sense! am i picking up what you’re putting down? is that a phrase over there??)
