Hi,
I have many Threads listed as Notions. Unfortunately, they are not available in the Thread field in Fabric so I end up entering them again. Also, the Thread does not carry through to a Project when a Fabric is chosen. It would be really great if one could make an entry for a Thread in Notions, then choose it from a drop down list in Fabric and have it added to Shopping List in Projects.
I see that there are at least two entries already in the Road Map listing. Stash-hub-issues #452 (public database of threads and needles) seems quite pertinant to this issue. Will it be available in a manner like I mentioned?
Love Stash Hub - I use it constantly.
Cheers,
Rosanne

Hi @Rosanne, welcome to the forum.
That’s a great idea. I don’t think this is captured by any item in the roadmap so I’ll add it.

hiii @Rosanne weclome!! thanks for posting this – it reminded me of a question i have about thread too!
when we add thread as a notion, and it has color options and you can choose all that apply…should i be adding all my aurifil 50wt cotton threads and adding each color within one listing? and then different listings for different weights/brands/fiber content? OR should i make a separate listing for each spool of thread? thankssss i wish i could add a cat photo because when i text, i always end with a cat photo but pls imagine a sleepy soft cat next to this thread question.

I list every spool type and colour as a separate thread notion. I mainly use Gutermann thread and each of them has a separate number which helps to differentiate between threads that are nearly the same colour but not quite. e.g. Gutermann col 000 is black standard thread and I have three identical spools so that is in one record. If I had a spool of Gutermann black topstitching thread, I would place that in another record since it is a different type of thread even if it is the same colour as the col 000 thread above. My Gutermann dark navy thread (col 310) which is the same type of thread as my black col 000 thread is in a separate record again. Hope that helps! Cheers Rosanne

I would add each spool as a separate listing (unless you have multiple of the exact same spool)
