Handmade Easter gifts for my parents

Instead of chocolate this year, I decided to make some gifts for my parents for Easter using fabrics they picked out themselves at The Stitch Festival.

I made the Cameron Button Up by Helen’s closet for my dad, using block print cotton from Cloth Atelier. This shirt has lots of ease so I sized down one size from his chest measurement which fits well. I also lengthened the body and sleeves by 3 inches as it’s drafted for someone 5’6 - worthwhile on the body but maybe not so much on the sleeves. I used PatternTrace Swedish tracing paper to help me pattern match the pocket. Cameron is my favourite shirt pattern I’ve tried so far, so will probably make another in the future.

My mum saw Lauren wearing this fabric on the Stitch Festival catwalk so I took her to the Guthrie and Ghani stand to get some. I made a simple Helen’s Closet Ashton Top which will be so cute for spring.

The rest of my Stitch Festival purchases are in this post:
