Green remnant becomes a Go with the Flow Dress

I had a scant 1.65m of the lovely synthetic Jersey fabric, snaffled up for a mere £8. I fell in love those colours! Now the Go with the Flow dress from Pattern Emporium

The pattern was for woven fabric, so I’ve gone off piste using a jersey. I used gold chunky loops and sliders to make the adjustable straps and placed the slidered at the front as a feature. I had to interface the straps and facings to prevent stretching. Finished it off this a fancy coverstitch hem on my new coverstitch machine.

This is a lovely pattern, and very flattering one someone like me who is massively pear shaped! You build the straps and the yoke first (looks like a bondage outfit), add pockets to the main body - sew it together and hem!

I feel a million dollars wearing this - I plan to make a full length one next…
