Fruity Canyon Top

Fruity make number three :heart_eyes: I have two more planned (that I’m hoping to make this month) and two more fruity fabrics (that I might have to save for next year).

My vision with Magic Mockup:

FABRIC: Summer patchwork cotton sateen I bought from Good Fabric at The Stitch Festival. I’m obsessed with the vibrant colours and slight sheen to the fabric. This is my second banana theme make of the challenge - will this be enough to help bananas climb up the rankings? :banana:

PATTERN: Canyon Top by Friday Pattern Company, size XL. I struggled to catch both sides of the placket, so I’m going to hand sew a couple of bits on the inside. More accurate pressing required for next time! I also found the neckline too low for me (I do have a short torso) so have hand sewn it up by 1.5 inches. I already have a fun hack idea in mind for this pattern…and there’s a pattern hacking challenges coming up in July!

LABEL: ‘Cherry Picked’ by Bornella Fabrics

@BlossomSandwich Very cute :star_struck:!

It looks great . I bet it’s cool in the heat wave we’re having.

I’m already thinking about making another version in a super lightweight Indian Block Print fabric that will be even cooler!

I love the magic mockup, it’s so helpful! I have a similar problem with low cut blouses, being a musician who has to sometimes bend down on stage. . .:face_with_open_eyes_and_hand_over_mouth: That’s such a cute top, the combination of fabric and pattern is so cheerful and summery!
