I love robes like that one for summer/hot holiday destinations :sun_with_face::smiling_face_with_sunglasses:… Quick to make, very little fitting adjustments needed. And, fab to cover up to avoid sunburn :fire:.

Bet you’re gonna love yours and will no doubt get a lotta wear out if it :+1:t3:

I cut this out yesterday but I am annoyed because I bought this from the market. The woman sold it to me as viscose and is not or at least not 100%. It definitely has polyester in. I think it is a polyester cotton. I thought it wasn’t right when I came to use it because it has been stuffed in a draw for ages and no creases. I washed it and it came out of the washing machine still zero creases. I did the burn test and there was white smoke and it didn’t smell of polyester but it turned into hard plastic at the edges.

I haven’t sewn it yet for two reasons. I need to sew up mums trousers and I am not happy with the fabric. I bought this a few years ago from a woman on the market who I trusted and her fabrics aren’t cheap. It was supposed to be viscose but I think it is polycotton, not good for summer. I will still make it and it does have the advantage of not creasing. I will never have to iron it.

Ah that’s a shame. At least it will be perfect for packing and taking on trips where you won’t have an iron!

Super frustrating about the fibre content on your not-Viscose fabric
