Fabric & Pattern recommendations for a child with sensory issues

Hello! My grandson will be starting school in September and the awfulness of getting him into school uniform looms ever closer. He lives in jersey trousers, when he wears trousers at all, but he will need more school-like trousers in September.

Can anyone recommend a good fabric that is woven, but with a bit of stretch, and looks more like school trouser fabric than sweatshirting?

Also looking for comfy trouser patterns to fit a 4yr old boy. Thank you :slight_smile:

Hmmm. My first thought is to ask in the Discovery Fabric fb group. Is it a generic “black pants” style uniform requirement or “this specific color of blue and nothing else” uniform?

Hi Cassie, it’s thankfully just black trousers. Thanks for the tip, I don’t use Facebook but I think my daughter does so I will ask her to take a look.
