Cozy flannel tunic

We camp frequently, and I came to the conclusion that wearing trousers to the shower generally results in soggy bottoms (the floors and benches if present, invariably get wet). I decided what I needed was a tunic-like garment to wear. I had a suitable pattern, and enough blue / black flannel in my stash to do it. I shortened it, because I’m not tall, and the last thing I wanted was a hem dragging in the water. I’ve also made a few other mods: 1) extra large pockets (because, pockets! and I wanted it to look less like a flannel nightie). 2) no neck slit (the toile proved that it was unnecessary, and too low for someone who wants to bend down and not display everything. I also eliminated the facing and used binding instead. So, yes, it does look a bit different to the magic mockup, but I think it will really do the trick. Psst. don’t tell anyone, but it may also do double duty as a winter dress over leggings.:upside_down_face:

This sounds like a very practical and well considered make. And you could 100% wear this out and about too! The bias pockets are a great idea - really helps them stand out and saves you from pattern matching!
