Copyright month/year

Hi! I’m a new to Stash Hub so maybe I’ve missed this somewhere. I’ve got a large pattern collection and currently include a copyright date in my database so i know how old a pattern is. The date is generally in month/year format, but sometimes just a year. As I’m entering data into Stash Hub, I don’t see a field for this anywhere. I’ve been including that information in the Notes field, but I don"t think I can search or sort on that. It would be great if it were included somewhere. Thank you!

@Lyric91 I faced this issue when I was adding all my old patterns (a collection going back years) I used the purchase date field for the copyright date; purchase date isn’t that important to me. I ‘purchased’ patterns in all sorts of years.
An alternative would be to set up tags by the decades or the years maybe as these are searchable.
Hope this helps

Hi @Lyric91. Welcome to the forum.

There is no field for month and/or year and I think storing it in the notes is a good option.

If you’d like to be able to filter by this I would do as @JD3205 suggested

and create tags for the different decades.

Welcome  @Lyric91 :waving_hand:t3:.

As per the replies above from @JD3205 + @TheWizard… I like the idea for a year/copyright © field :+1:t3:. Currently I use the “Tags” to write 1970s, 1960s etc. to denote decade for my patterns. And, I write into the “Notes” field the year of the pattern publication too.

I use tags as well, both for decades and specific years, which works ok, but a separate field for it would be super. I have a large collection from the 1930s-1950s.
