Connie Shacket in Denim

Really happy with this one!
It’s the Connie Casual Shacket by Ellie & Mac

Made in stretch Denim with Bias binding to finish the seams.

Bias binding and some facings made from a remanant of Higgs & Higgs linen. Inspired to bind the seams by the additional content with the pattern in the guide for using thicker fabrics. 1" (2.54cm bias binding over open, 1cm (2cm when open) worked well.

Toile was useful - Needed to shorted and widen the sleeves as they were 8" too long for me (!) and changed my mind to make a shorter version than originally planned.

Sleeve plackets were a new challenge but got there in the end!!

That looks great! The extra time taken with the binding was definitely worthwhile, it really elevates it
