Banana banana bag 🍌

This is my second fruity make for the #SewFruity26 challenge I’m hosting this month! I have lots more planned for the second half of the month and have been loving seeing your entries so far. There could be an upset on the Top Fruits podium this year :scream:

I thought I would wear blue and yellow to complement my new bag but Doug said I look like a Minion. Minions do love bananas so it works…

PATTERN: Tell me, am I the last sewist in the community to make the BestieBag by BF Patterns, I swear everyone else has made at least 5 :sweat_smile:This is the Medium size without the pleat.

FABRIC: my friend Mel gave me her remnant of this gorgeous banana denim with Sew Fruity in mind. It’s the softest denim I’ve ever felt, with an almost brushed texture

LINING: Couldn’t resist using another fun fruity fabric! This is a cotton from Sew Me Sunshine called ‘Summer Picnic’ :lobster:

LABEL: Got to have a Little Rosy Cheeks label as the ‘cherry on top’

I’ve not made a banana bag. So you’re not alone.

It looks great and just the right size for your bibs and bobs.

It’s a big bigger than my little shoulder bag that I usually use, so I’ve found myself overestimating how much I can fit in it. I’m very stubborn about buying carrier bags at the supermarket so this bag has been pushed to it’s limits haha
