Add 'Taped' option to pattern record

Would it be easily done to add a ‘Taped’ or similar option to patterns, in the bottom list of ‘Printed’, ‘Traced’ and ‘Cut Out’?

I tend to print my pdf’s (A4 size at home; I can’t seem to find an affordable A0 printer here in Finland) in bulk, then slowly tape them together one by one whenever I find the extra time. This means I’ve always got a lot of patterns marked as ‘Printed’, so as not to print them again by mistake, but not yet ready to use. I would love to see at a mere glance at the pattern record if the pattern is ready to be used instantly or if it is in need of being taped together first. I figure I could use the ‘Traced’ option for it, I realize now as I am literally writing this post ;), but the OCD part of me isn’t quite satisfied with that, as it is not, per definition, a trace.

Please see mock-up screenshot below.

@Maritha you could add your own custom Tag “Taping is needed” to your printed, but not-yet taped together patterns .

Then, after you have been able to tape them you can remove the Tag from that record.

You can of course then use the Tag to Filter your Patterns to view the ones that all need to be taped.

Thanks for your request and I can appreciate how it would be useful for you. In the future we’d like to add more user customisable options (e.g. edit the default todo lists). For now, I think @ClaireSews suggestion is the best way to go.

That’s a great suggestion, thanks!

I think I might actually use the Traced checkbox in combination with a tag. The checkbox to get a quick overview when already viewing the pattern record, not having to look at both the bottom section and find the tags section; and then use the tag specifically when in need of filtering.

Still would love a checkbox for taped patterns, though, but this will be satisfying solution.

You can add it yourself as others have said - but do you need to, isn’t cutting out and taping/gluing something you do at the same time?

Most people probably do tape and cut at the same time, and I wish I could be more consistent with this, but I seem to at all times have at least a couple patterns taped but not cut (thus hugely sized, rolled up and constantly in the way), or roughly cut and stacked prepared for taping. Not to mention the printed ones waiting for more attention.

I wish I was more organized and could focus on one project at a time, but that’s just not how I work, and with limited amounts of time at hand due to a variety of hobbies and interests, I’m just constantly navigating through chaos. But luckily it’s a creative chaos.

Yes, that would be great!
