Add Mending to the Project Type options

@TheWizard any chance you could add a category under Projects for Mending if you dont have it on the roadmap already. (I did go and look at your list in Github)

I did add a tag for Mending, and i found the For Repair but mending/refashioning is such a large group of projects on its own with different characteristics than start from scratch projects. (E.g. usually there is not pattern)

Thank you for the consideration

There is a project status of “For Repair” which is meant for your use case. You don’t have to include a pattern. Happy hear if not and what you’d like to see instead.

I use the For Repair, but the linked project options don’t help with what is needed for mending and repair. I make it work, but Mending and Refashioning is one area that could use a separate focus area.

For example, I don’t need to load a fabric, pattern, challenge, or inspiration to mend a zipper or fix elastic in the waist of pants. I update the to-do list each time, and currently, we can not take out Cut Out and Sew (no delete button).

I definitely can make it work and ignore all those sections. I thought it might be a nice new feature as a category, especially as sewists focus on refashioning and reusing older garments.

Thank you for the quick response.

I see where you’re coming from. The original idea with “For Repair” is that it’s a project you already had in Stash Hub. However, as you mentioned, that doesn’t work for refashioning.

To be honest, I don’t think it’s a feature or change we’ll make anytime soon but we’ll definitely keep it in mind.
