A whole bunch of finished projects 🎉

Do you mark your projects as ‘complete’ when you’ve finished sewing them or when you’ve shared them?

I mark mine as complete when the sewing is done - although that does mean it can take me ages to get around to sharing them! I love seeing what you’ve been sewing and getting inspired by your projects, so it’s only fair that I show you mine too.

Not sure that it was intentional, but I’ve got two major themes running through my latest makes:
RAINBOW IS A NEUTRAL :rainbow:
COMFORT IS KEY :key:

Pattern: Lane Pants. Lane has become a TNT (tried and true) for me and I’m building quite the collection! They’re so comfy and I didn’t even have to make any adjustments thanks to the loose fit.
Fabric: I think it’s a viscose linen blend - I picked it up at the Surrey Sews swap

Pattern: Anthea Blouse
Fabric: Lady McElroy ‘Dip in the lake’
Fun detail: I cut the back piece so the lady would be aligned at the centre back and I added the label to the outside

Pattern: Self-drafted gathered skirt with elasticated waist (inspired by the True Bias Maeve)
Fabric: I’m obsessed with this fabric! It was a gift from a sewing friend - ‘Neon Bloom’ by Rachel Parker for Dashwood Studios

Pattern: Alexa Blouse by Atelier Jupe - This is lovely and oversized and very floaty in a viscose
Fabric: Lady McElroy Rivera Walk viscose

Otherwise all my project would be dragging on as unfinished for months because I can’t be bothered to take a picture haha

I mark the completion date when it’s sewn and complete once it’s been photographed so I have a record of it.

Best of both worlds! Good thinking!

For me the completion date is when the sewing is finished. I usually take pictures on my mannequin when complete, but often forget to share them.
