A whole bunch of finished projects 🎉

Do you mark your projects as ‘complete’ when you’ve finished sewing them or when you’ve shared them?

I mark mine as complete when the sewing is done - although that does mean it can take me ages to get around to sharing them! I love seeing what you’ve been sewing and getting inspired by your projects, so it’s only fair that I show you mine too.

Not sure that it was intentional, but I’ve got two major themes running through my latest makes:
RAINBOW IS A NEUTRAL :rainbow:
COMFORT IS KEY :key:

Pattern: Lane Pants. Lane has become a TNT (tried and true) for me and I’m building quite the collection! They’re so comfy and I didn’t even have to make any adjustments thanks to the loose fit.
Fabric: I think it’s a viscose linen blend - I picked it up at the Surrey Sews swap

Pattern: Anthea Blouse
Fabric: Lady McElroy ‘Dip in the lake’
Fun detail: I cut the back piece so the lady would be aligned at the centre back and I added the label to the outside

Pattern: Self-drafted gathered skirt with elasticated waist (inspired by the True Bias Maeve)
Fabric: I’m obsessed with this fabric! It was a gift from a sewing friend - ‘Neon Bloom’ by Rachel Parker for Dashwood Studios

Pattern: Alexa Blouse by Atelier Jupe - This is lovely and oversized and very floaty in a viscose
Fabric: Lady McElroy Rivera Walk viscose

I mark my Projects complete :white_check_mark: at the time they’re done :+1:t3:.

Otherwise all my project would be dragging on as unfinished for months because I can’t be bothered to take a picture haha

I mark the completion date when it’s sewn and complete once it’s been photographed so I have a record of it.

Best of both worlds! Good thinking!

For me the completion date is when the sewing is finished. I usually take pictures on my mannequin when complete, but often forget to share them.

Ha! Half the time I’m so excited by my new make, I forget to even mark it completed.

I do the same as @JD3205 - add the completion date when the sewing is finished, then mark the project complete when I’ve taken photos. Suffice to say my projects section is usually full of projects waiting for me to mark as completed

When I’ve completed the sewing. I don’t think I’ve ever ticked the shared box! I don’t always share & sometimes it takes a while to take pictures, especially in the winter when you have to wait for a ray of sunlight to get a picture :joy:

I’ve created a few tags now in projects
“Cut out”
“Photography”

I keep the cut out tag open so they’re the only projects I see and when the weather is right (or my hair ) I switch to the photogragh tag and get as many done as possible.

Does that make sense. I don’t use the queue feature anymore and projects that are just an idea get hidden until I’m ready for them

Loving tags.

Also now that the notions have been updated I need to get everything listed

I mark mine as complete the day I complete the project and I download the image to our Apple Photos Album. I sometimes, over a period of days, I click on the complete button again if I’m not satisfied with the downloaded image. I eventually share my downloaded image here on Stash Hub’s Forum along with printing out the image and sticking it on my project envelope, and add it to my project notes.

I have also created a few tags. It’s very useful if you have several projects on the go. Less head scratching and wondering where I was. . .

Great idea to have a photo shoot with multiple makes when a good hair day coincides with decent weather (it’s like waiting for all the planets to line up )
