A couple of remnant ideas 💡 [Viewing/Filtering]

Would it be possible to have ‘remnant’ as it’s own category when you’re looking for ‘usable’ fabrics? Or to be able to filter by remnants would work - and by extension be able to filter all the statuses?

I’d also be a fan of a ‘cut’ state. It’s been cut into but there’s far too much left to be classified as a remnant. This one might be a little niche though, I appreciate it might not be done!

I think remnants might also benefit from being able to see the length and width on the ‘main screen’ as they’re usually awkward sizes?

I like this idea too. Yes and a cut stage for fabrics as mine is nearly all uncut even though I’ve cut a project out of it. It is too big too be a remnant and it is not used up.

You can filter to see just remnants, in the status field:

We also have plans to be able to save default filters, so if you don’t want to see remnants in your default view you’ll be able to set that up in the future.

I too would rather have remnant separate from uncut. A piece of less than 1m can be handy, but I’d rather not have it included when I’m searching for fabric to make a garment.

@UMB sounds like “Partially Cut” (for cut but bigger than 1m), alongside the existing “Remnant”, “Scraps” would work better for your own needs.

Perhaps you could custom Tag some fabrics as “Partially Cut” to Filter those out for yourself .
