Suggestion: Time Log (manual and/or automated)

So, I know StashHub is designed for the home sewist, not working professionals. That said, I was wondering if you might consider adding an “elapsed time” log to the Project view.

I occasionally sew for other people and get paid an hourly rate. I’d love to be able to either (a) keep a log of how much time I spent working on the project by day, or even better, (b) be able to hit a stopwatch in the project view to start and stop when I’m working, and have it add that to the project automatically.

Whether I’m telling someone I spent 6.5 hours on their make so they can pay me or if I’m just keeping track of how long it took me to sew a fancy gown, I’d love to see that as a feature of StashHub.

Thank you!

Hi :waving_hand:t3: @angiekey, it’s been requested before (Logging time spent on project).

This post that I made in the Help section of the forum might interest you

I know that there are no plans to introduce a time tracking/logging feature into the StashHub App…

… but my post linked above details some ideas on how to manage time tracking that could prove beneficial .

We probably won’t add time spent as a new field to projects as mentioned. You could keep a note of the time you’ve spent in the project notes field, or add screenshots of your stopwatch app to the ‘Work In Progress’ photos section. Then you could easily see how long a project has taken you if someone asks for quote for something similar.
