Since one of the more recent updates (approx. 10 days ago or less) I have noticed that the same thing happens when I create a 
customised entry in a field:
- The entry saves and displays fine in the field.
- The entry is visible in that particular record & remains there fine (including after stopping & restarting the app).
- The entry is NOT available as a “suggestion” in other records.
- The entry does NOT appear under:
Settings > Field Suggestions
The entries that I’ve found it affecting are:
Designer (names) in a Pattern record, and
Location in Fabric and/or Pattern records.
